Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager II to oversee warehouse operations and drive cross-functional excellence. You will lead Operations Managers and staff, implement strategic processes, and ensure safety and efficiency across the facility.

You will manage vendor relationships, analyze performance metrics, and present MB/R/QBR reports to customers. A strong background in WMS and 3PL/contract logistics is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in 3PL or contract logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
• Lead and coach Operations Managers and staff to build a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed; maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation, and other tech to track inventory and performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and site operations within the contract framework.
• Prepare reports on performance, inventory, and key metrics for decision making.
• Maintain customer relationships through daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee the site’s P&L and contribute to strategic customer engagement.
• Prepare and present MB/RQBRs to customers with team collaboration.

The General Manager II role has a national salary range of $105,000 - $135,000.

Job Description

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while also developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

Required Education And Experience
