DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I – Distribution to oversee warehouse operations nationwide. You will lead a team of managers, drive process improvements, and ensure safety and productivity across facilities.

This role requires strategic thinking and strong leadership to maintain DHL’s reputation as a global contract logistics leader. The ideal candidate has extensive management experience, a track record of cost control, and familiarity with WMS systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years managerial or supervisory experience required.
• 2 years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution required.
• 3PL/Contract Logistics experience preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations: receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching and support while building a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; oversee site operations to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics and identify improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services in line with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels and other key metrics for decision making and continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site’s profit and loss (P&L).
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) to customers.

The General Manager I role has a national salary range of $120,000 – $155,000.

• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site’s profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

Required Education and Experience

• 5 years managerial/supervisory experience, required
• 2 years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment, required
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics, preferred
