Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to lead a large warehouse network in the United States. The role carries full P&L responsibility and requires the ability to develop strategic processes, drive safety, and build a high-performing team across multiple sites.

You will oversee daily operations, optimize warehouse processes, manage vendor relationships, monitor KPIs, and present MBR/QBR reviews to customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution.
• Experience in 3PL/Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching and support, while building a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify improvement areas.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services within the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and KPIs to inform decision-making.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Responsible for site's profit and loss (P&L).
• Prepare and present MBR/QBR to customers with strong team collaboration.

Job description

Candidates must have General Manager level experience with full P&L responsibility or have prior experience as the primary leader of site with P&L responsibility. This position will support the entire customer network, and have a 15-25% travel requirement.

The General Manager I role has a national salary range of $120,000 - $155,000.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

Required Education and Experience
