Job Title: General Manager
Location: Hampton Inn – Biloxi/Ocean Springs, MS
Reports To: Regional Vice President / Corporate Leadership

Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of hotel operations at the Hampton Inn – Biloxi/Ocean Springs, MS, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, financial performance, and team development. This individual will oversee daily operations, drive revenue strategies, maintain brand standards, and foster a positive and productive work culture in line with company values.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable functioning across all departments.

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest service in accordance with Hilton brand expectations.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department heads and staff.

  • Create a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence among all team members.

  • Conduct regular meetings and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with goals.

Guest Experience:

  • Champion a guest-first culture by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring high satisfaction scores (e.g., SALT/Medallia).

  • Monitor guest feedback channels and implement action plans to improve service.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget, forecast, and financial reports.

  • Monitor P&L performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability and control costs.

  • Drive revenue through occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and upselling initiatives.

Sales & Marketing:

  • Partner with Sales to increase market share and drive business to the property.

  • Participate in community and brand-related events to promote the hotel.

  • Analyze market trends and develop strategies to optimize competitive positioning.

Brand & Property Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with all Hilton brand standards and corporate procedures.

  • Oversee property maintenance and capital improvement projects.

  • Conduct regular inspections and follow up on corrective actions.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel management experience, preferably within the Hilton brand or select-service hotels.

  • Proven leadership experience in operations, team building, and financial accountability.

  • Strong knowledge of hotel systems (e.g., OnQ, Hilton reporting tools, financial reporting platforms).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.

  • Strong understanding of Biloxi/Ocean Springs market and tourism trends.
