Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction for Field Services with responsibility for safety, compliance, customer service, and profitability.
• Develops and executes business plans, forecasts, budgets, and growth initiatives.
• Oversees Field Services financial performance including revenue, margins, and cost control.
• Leads operations planning to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable project completion.
• Establishes site safety plans and ensures resources for safe project execution.
• Monitors KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, and financials.
• Partners with Sales for business development and major bids.
• Builds and develops the Field Services organization and workforce.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, RCRA and customer requirements.
• Collaborates with Safety, HR, Finance, Sales, and other groups to meet objectives.
• Assesses staffing, equipment, subcontractors, and technology needs for growth.
• Maintains relationships with key customers and handles escalations.
• Represents Field Services in leadership discussions and resource planning.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions

• Provides overall leadership and direction for the Field Services business, with accountability for safety, compliance, customer service, operational performance, growth, and profitability.
• Develops and executes business plans, annual operating goals, revenue and expense forecasts, budgets, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Maintains accountability for Field Services financial performance, including revenue, margins, project profitability, labor and equipment utilization, and cost control.
• Leads the planning and execution of Field Services operations to ensure projects are properly scoped, staffed, scheduled, equipped, and completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
• Provides leadership and oversight for the development, coordination, and implementation of site safety plans for field work, ensuring appropriate resources, project materials, and on-site supervision are established to support safe, compliant, and successful project execution.
• Establishes and monitors key performance indicators related to safety, quality, productivity, utilization, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Leads business development efforts in partnership with Sales, including customer relationship management, proposal strategy, Go/No-Go decisions, major bids, and identification of new markets and service opportunities.
• Builds, develops, and leads the Field Services organization, including performance management, workforce planning, employee development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Ensures Field Services activities are conducted in accordance with applicable OSHA, DOT, EPA, RCRA, customer, and company requirements.
• Partners with Safety, Human Resources, Finance, Sales, RIS, RTS, RES, and other functional groups to support business objectives and resolve operational or customer issues.
• Evaluates staffing, equipment, subcontractor, capital, and technology needs necessary to support operational requirements and future growth.
• Maintains strong relationships with key customers and serves as the escalation point for significant operational, technical, or service-related concerns.
• Represents Field Services in leadership and planning discussions and provides recommendations regarding business performance, risks, opportunities, and resource needs.
• Performs site activities and duties as required.
• Understands both RIS’ OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and assists with executing their objectives.
• Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing and e-mail.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in environmental services, industrial services, hazardous waste management, field services, operations, project management, or a related industry.
• Prior leadership experience with responsibility for operations, employees, financial performance, and business growth strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, project profitability, and business financial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business plans and growth strategies.
• Strong working knowledge of environmental, occupational safety, and transportation regulations, including RCRA, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
• Working knowledge of hazardous waste management and disposal technologies, including incineration, wastewater treatment, landfill, fuel blending, and related technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, establish accountability, develop employees, and manage organizational performance.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate operational and financial information and make sound business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and support business development activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative environment while maintaining clear accountability for business results.
• Ability to manage changing priorities, customer requirements, and operational demands.
• Proficiency with business technology and applications used for financial analysis, forecasting, project management, communication, and performance reporting.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer and project locations as required
