Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Provides overall leadership and accountability for the performance, profitability, safety, and compliance of multiple Industrial Services locations, including transfer, storage, disposal, field service, or branch operations within an assigned region or business area.
• Responsible for regional profit and loss performance, including labor, materials, disposal, equipment, and SG&A costs. Reviews financial results, forecasts performance, and implements actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Monitors and actively manages the performance of multiple facilities / branches, including KPIs, safety metrics, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and financial results.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management to Branch Managers, Operations Managers, and other site leadership.
• Reviews and approves capital, purchasing, and operational expenditures within assigned authority. Develops and manages regional budgets and business plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Ensures all locations operate in compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including environmental, transportation, and safety regulations.
• Directs the utilization of personnel, equipment, and resources across multiple locations to meet customer commitments and operational requirements.
• Oversees training and development of employees and managers to ensure required certifications, competencies, and leadership capabilities are maintained across the region.
• Prepares and reviews reports, forecasts, and operational updates for senior leadership.
• Ensures all facilities maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and operational readiness, and are prepared for internal and external audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections.
• Supports business development and growth initiatives by maintaining relationships with key customers and identifying opportunities to expand services within the region.

Clean Harbors is looking for a General Manager for our Data Center Services who owns the profit and loss performance and the safe, compliant delivery of industrial and environmental services to data center and mission-critical facility customers within an assigned territory to join their team! This position is directly responsible for oversight of multiple branches, facilities, operating locations and overall performance, profitability, and operational leadership of assigned transfer, storage, and disposal facilities which includes the oversight of waste management, health & safety, compliance, profit & loss, and staffing. Provides directions to Operation Managers and site leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. Accountable for regional financial results, workforce planning, customer relationships, and execution of business strategy in alignment with company objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides overall leadership and accountability for the performance, profitability, safety, and compliance of multiple Industrial Services locations, including transfer, storage, disposal, field service, or branch operations within an assigned region or business area. Responsible for operational execution, financial performance, staffing, and regulatory compliance.

• Responsible for regional profit and loss performance, including labor, materials, disposal, equipment, and SG&A costs. Reviews financial results, forecasts performance, and implements actions to improve profitability and efficiency.

• Monitors and actively manages the performance of multiple facilities / branches, including KPIs, safety metrics, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and financial results. Implements corrective actions and improvement plans as needed.

• Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management to Branch Managers, Operations Managers, and other site leadership. Responsible for organizational planning, succession development, staffing decisions, and employee performance across assigned locations.

• Reviews and approves capital, purchasing, and operational expenditures within assigned authority. Ensures resources are used efficiently and in accordance with budget and company guidelines. Develops and manages regional budgets and business plans aligned with corporate objectives. Establishes performance targets for Branch Managers and site leaders and monitors results to ensure revenue, margin, and cost objectives are achieved.

• Ensures all locations operate in compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including environmental, transportation, and safety regulations (RCRA, DOT, OSHA, and related standards). Works closely with Safety, Compliance, and Environmental teams to maintain required permits and operating standards.

• Directs the utilization of personnel, equipment, and resources across multiple locations to meet customer commitments and operational requirements. Coordinates with Logistics, Technical Services, Field Services, and other internal partners to optimize performance.

• Oversees training and development of employees and managers to ensure required certifications, competencies, and leadership capabilities are maintained across the region.

• Prepares and reviews reports, forecasts, and operational updates for senior leadership. Analyzes trends, identifies risks and opportunities, and recommends actions to improve performance.

• Ensures all facilities maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and operational readiness, and are prepared for internal and external audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections.

• Supports business development and growth initiatives by maintaining relationships with key customers and identifying opportunities to expand services within the region. Works with Sales, Operations, and corporate leadership to develop and execute growth strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Environmental Science or related required.
• 7-10 years' relevant experience. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
