Position Overview

The role of General Manager, Construction, is a critical leadership position within O’Connell Electric. It requires exceptional leadership and communication skills to ensure all teams operate professionally and efficiently. The General Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations within an assigned office, division, or geographic area, and actively participating in industry associations like NECA to develop strong community and industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead diverse teams including administrative staff, project managers, and operations personnel to foster growth and deliver excellent customer service.
• Drive business development efforts within your region, supporting proposal efforts, and engaging with customers and decision-makers.
• Apply project management expertise to ensure compliance with company standards, track project profitability, and oversee billing and revenue procedures.
• Ensure safety compliance, including OSHA 30 certification, and monitor project and office operations for maintenance and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Electrical construction experience is mandatory.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS 365, Timberline, Trimble Enterprise, and similar applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams, with a focus on strategic oversight and operational excellence.

Compensation
