Job summary

Central Texas College in Killeen, TX is seeking a Station Manager to lead KNCT-FM and its online services. The role oversees day-to-day operations, ensures FCC compliance, and directs programming and fundraising efforts.

The manager will prepare the annual budget, supervise department leaders, build donor relationships, expand streaming and social media, and collaborate with the broadcasting department and college marketing to promote campus events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a suitable technical or business field.
• 3 years of management experience; 5 years preferred.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Experience in station development, programming and digital services.
• Experience in station and online technical operations preferred.
• Familiarity with FCC rules and CPB policies.
• Ability to develop and manage an annual operating budget.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of KNCT-FM and related online services.
• Prepare and direct the station's annual operating budget and FCC/CPB reports.
• Direct duties of department managers of the radio station.
• Seek out sources of additional funding from corporate and major donors and prepare grants.
• Maintain direction for on-air fundraising and locally produced programming.
• Direct streaming and online activities including social media.
• Collaborate with academic department to maximize student learning.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote college events.
• Maintain relationships with communities and represent the station at events.
• Liaise with college departments, faculty and students to advance the station's mission.
