POSITION TITLE: RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER (FT)

DEPARTMENT: BURGER KING SOUTH CAROLINA

REPORTS TO: DISTRICT MANAGER

FLSA: EXEMPT / SALARY

POSITION SUMMARY:

Applegreen USA is in a rapid growth phase and is seeking to recruit a Restaurant General Manager for one of our South Carolina Burger King locations. The Restaurant General Manager is the operations leader of the restaurant, focused on profitability, guest satisfaction, people development, and operations. The GM has overall responsibility for managing the daily operations of a single restaurant and operates under the direction of the District Manager, directly managing Assistant Managers, Hourly Shift Leaders, and Crew Members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the daily operations of a single restaurant.
  • Accountable for the restaurant's profit and loss (P&L) and actively manage towards desired financial outcomes.
  • Drive sales through proactive guest service, people development, and operations management.
  • Motivate and direct team members to exceed guest expectations with friendly, accurate, and fast service in a clean facility.
  • Address and resolve guest issues promptly to enhance the guest experience.
  • Engage with the community to attract prospective guests and implement local marketing initiatives.
  • Inspire the restaurant team through recognition programs.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve team capabilities and restaurant performance.
  • Manage labor by optimizing staffing and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, employment laws, and company policies while upholding operational and brand standards.
  • Perform duties of Assistant Manager and Shift Supervisor when necessary.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management and drivers of restaurant profitability.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership and guest service skills.
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work long and irregular shifts as needed.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive and professional interaction with guests and co-workers.
  • Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations and work multiple stations.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of quick service restaurant experience; management experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
  • Frequent standing for long periods.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds as needed.
