Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection, seeks a visionary General Manager to lead one of Auberge’s iconic New England destinations. You will unite luxury hospitality, wellness, and culinary excellence to create unforgettable guest experiences while steering a high-performing team.

Only a two-hour drive from New York City, Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection is a luxury country retreat located in the idyllic town of Washington, Connecticut. Set on 58-acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands, the property defines New England elegance and is renowned as one of the northeast’s most lauded luxury hideaways. Boasting 35 guest rooms, the hotel offers exceptional service and gracious attention to guest’s personalized needs. Wellness amenities include The Retreat at Mayflower Inn, a 20,000 square-foot spa sanctuary featuring the Pool House with a greenhouse-style all-season pool, traditional hammam and a Biophilic Thermal Pool.
The General Manager serves as the visionary leader and ultimate steward of Mayflower Inn & Spa, responsible for delivering extraordinary guest experiences while cultivating an engaged, high-performing team and achieving exceptional financial results. As the leader of one of Auberge Collection's most iconic New England destinations, the General Manager brings together luxury hospitality, wellness, culinary excellence, and authentic local experiences to create unforgettable memories for every guest.
This executive leads all aspects of resort operations, inspiring a culture rooted in Auberge's values of heartfelt hospitality, individuality, craftsmanship, and connection. The General Manager partners closely with corporate leadership to execute strategic initiatives while preserving the unique character and legacy of Mayflower Inn & Spa.
The role also involves serving as the face of the property within the local community, fostering stakeholder relationships, and championing Mayflower Inn & Spa as a cultural and social anchor. The ideal candidate will embody the Auberge Collection ethos, with a polished presence, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead with integrity and charm.
Demonstrated success managing luxury food and beverage, spa, wellness, and experiential programming.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing multimillion-dollar operating budgets and capital investments.
Proven ability to inspire teams and build a culture of service excellence.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
Experience working with ownership groups and luxury brand organizations preferred.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on luxury resort environment.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
