Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks a General Manager to lead a pre-opening campus developed with McCarthy Building Companies. This hands-on leader will oversee planning, staffing, and operations to deliver a distinctive, guest-centered experience from day one.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hospitality leadership, GM experience, and a track record in construction/renovation projects. A hospitality or business degree is preferred, with a compensation package reflecting executive responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • A proven record of success as a General Manager of a hotel, resort, or comparable hospitality operation.
  • At least five years of progressive hospitality leadership experience.
  • Construction, renovation and project management experience preferred.
  • College degree in hospitality, travel, tourism, or business.
  • Knowledge of Arizona and federal employment laws preferred.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with owners and key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

What you will have an opportunity to do: Join us in launching a state-of-the‑art training facility and hotel developed in partnership with McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.

Responsibilities: The General Manager will lead the campus through pre‑opening and ongoing operations, establishing a service culture aligned with the McCarthy ecosystem. This hands‑on leader will direct planning, meetings, critical‑path execution, team development, stakeholder relationships, and operating performance to deliver an efficient, distinctive experience from opening day forward.

Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic for pre‑opening, launch, and sustained campus performance.
  • Build an operating culture rooted in McCarthy's values, with a strong focus on learning, leadership development, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Translate customer needs and preferences into a consistent guest journey that reflects the McCarthy way.
  • Establish measurable long‑term goals, performance standards, and reporting rhythms to ensure results.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management; build a high‑performing team prepared to deliver the campus vision from day one.
Operations Management:
  • Partner with construction, ownership, and key stakeholders to coordinate readiness, resolve risks, establish operating procedures, and ensure a seamless transition from construction to opening.
Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, controls, and performance reporting while optimizing expenses without compromising service, safety, or quality.
Facilities Management:
  • Protect and enhance the campus's physical assets through preventive maintenance, lifecycle planning, appearance standards, and timely corrective action.
  • Implement practical sustainability initiatives that reduce environmental impact, resource use, and operating costs.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable hospitality, employment, licensing, and operating regulations, and implement processes that support full compliance.
  • Maintain rigorous health, safety, security, and emergency‑preparedness standards for associates, guests, and visitors.

What are we looking for?

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • A proven record of success as a General Manager of a hotel, resort, or comparable hospitality operation.
  • At least five years of progressive hospitality leadership experience, including responsibility for teams, operations, and financial results.
  • Construction, renovation and project management experience strongly preferred.
  • A college degree - preferably in hospitality, travel, tourism, or business—or an equivalent combination of education and experience; independent, high‑end lifestyle hotel experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Arizona and federal employment laws and related compliance requirements preferred.
  • A demonstrated ability to build trusted, productive relationships with owners and key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, judgment, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Compensation:
