Job summary

Lumicity in New York state seeks a General Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations, financial performance, and strategic growth across manufacturing, engineering, product development, and quality. You will oversee cross‑functional teams, drive new business strategies, and build a strong, accountable organization with a focus on growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on plant leadership experience, full P&L ownership, and a track record of developing leaders and scaling operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Operations, or related technical field preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
• Proven hands-on plant leadership role such as Plant Manager, Director of Operations, or General Manager.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, profitability, and financial performance.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth, margins, and efficiency.
• Experience overseeing cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, Sales, and Quality.
• Track record of improving manufacturing processes, increasing production capacity, and scaling new products/technologies.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior staff and management teams.
• Strong commercial awareness, customer relationship skills, and identify new revenue opportunities.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Experience with capital investments, equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and production scale-up.
• Experience transitioning new products or technologies from development into commercial manufacturing.
• Experience managing both operational and commercial responsibilities, including customer relationships and business development.
