Job summary

Retro Fitness Houston is seeking a General Manager to own the performance and guest experience of the club. You will lead a full team across sales, fitness, and operations, driving membership growth, retention, and revenue while upholding Retro Fitness standards.

This floor leadership role emphasizes ownership, urgency, and daily execution. You will coach staff on the floor, manage schedules and payroll, and partner with the Regional Manager on strategy and results.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years leading teams of 5 to 15 people.
• 3 to 5 years in fitness, retail, or hospitality.
• Proven experience driving sales and retention.
• Comfortable owning performance metrics and budgets.
• Strong communicator who can coach and correct in the moment.
• High accountability and hands on leadership style.
• CPR certified or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Sales, Fitness, Front Desk, and Cleaning.
• Own membership growth, personal training revenue, and retention.
• Build and hold accountable a high performing team.
• Reinforce Retro Fitness standards through daily example.
• Be visible on the floor coaching staff and engaging members.
• Resolve member issues with confidence and professionalism.
• Manage schedules, payroll accuracy, and staffing coverage.
• Track key metrics and manage the club to budget.
• Partner closely with your Regional Manager on strategy and results.
• Work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays except Christmas.

Compensation

Competitive base salary based on experience, plus monthly and quarterly bonuses tied directly to club performance. Personal training commissions provide additional earning potential.
