The Restaurant General Manager must be professional,dependable, enthusiastic, and friendly. The General Manager must work wellunder pressure, have previous restaurant management experience, and beexcited to join a team that is dedicated to detail. This position isaccountable for the store’s performance and requires strong organizational andcommunication skills to drive our commitment to excellent guest service andhigh-quality dining. Overall responsibilities include team leadership andmotivation, financial management, guest satisfaction, and additionaladministrative tasks.
Responsibilities andDuties
- Oversee coordination of the entire restaurant operation, including front-of-house andback-of-house
- Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently to customer complaints
- Enforce and offer the best quality of products possible
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Appraise personnel’s performance and provide feedback to keep them upbeat and productive
- Estimate consumption, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory
- Track compliance with sanitation and safety rules and regulations
- Control costs and cut waste
- Successfully promote and publicize the brand
- Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example as restaurant supervisor
- Track operations and start corrective actions
Requirements
- Atleast 21 years of age and has earned a High School diploma or GED
- 4 or more years of restaurant General Manager experience managing a team of 40 or more employees at a time, interacting frequently with guests and coaching employees to assume increasingly challenging roles
- Demonstrated career experience in customer service management
- Extensivefood and beverageknowledge
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Experience with Windows and MS Office, Modern POS systems and an understanding of inventory control systems is a plus
- Ability to understand and follow specific recipes, processes and systems with precision and consistency
- Possess strong organizational skills and can effectively prioritize needs (solid multitasker)
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Able to take direction, accept critical feedback and culture alignments as well as delegate tasks accordingly
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills; able to easily interact with diverse employees, bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Able to lift and carry at least 30 lbs. and stand for 8 plus hours
