Job summary

Brenntag seeks a Branch Operations Leader to drive local execution of the Essentials go-to-market strategy in Salt Lake City. You will lead safety, warehouse, sales deployment, and customer service teams to deliver strong results.

You will use financial KPIs to optimize performance, improve working capital, and partner with suppliers to support regional growth. A BS with relevant field and 10+ years in distribution/ manufacturing with people leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or Finance.
• Minimum 10 years in distribution or manufacturing environments; at least 5 years of direct people leadership/management.
• Strong commercial and chemical distribution background; demonstrated cross-functional collaboration, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee local branch drivers including safety protocols, warehouse operations, local sales deployment, and customer service teams.
• Use financial KPIs to measure and optimize local business performance—tracking volume, gross profit, personnel expenses, and operating expenses.
• Improve conversion ratios and working capital metrics by partnering with key suppliers and product management.
• Formulate capacity strategies for plant, equipment, and personnel to meet regional growth targets.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage performance across branch personnel with clear metrics.
• Maintain documented work procedures with branch personnel and regional resources.

Your Role

As a Branch Operations Leader, you will drive the local execution of Brenntag Essentials’ go‑to‑market strategy.

Job Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee local branch drivers including safety protocols, warehouse operations, local sales deployment, and customer service teams.
• P&L & Financial Accountability: Use financial KPIs to measure and optimize local business performance—tracking volume, gross profit, personnel expenses, and operating expenses.
• Margin & Capital Optimization: Improve conversion ratios and working capital metrics (inventory and accounts receivable) by partnering with key suppliers and product management.
• Capacity Planning: Formulate comprehensive strategies for plant, equipment, and personnel capacity to meet current and future regional growth targets.
• People Management: Recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage performance across all branch personnel, setting clear metrics and expectations.
• Maintain documented procedures for work processes by working closely with branch personnel as well as sub‑region, regional and BES divisional resources.

Education And Experience

• Education: BS in Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or Finance.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in distribution or manufacturing environments; Minimum of 5 years of direct people leadership/management experience.
• Key Skills: Strong commercial and chemical distribution background, exceptional cross‑functional collaboration, analytical skills, self‑motivated high energy level, teamwork, time management, influencing, communication, strong analytical and creative skills.
