Job summary

The Car Park in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced leader to oversee multiple parking accounts, supervise full-time and part-time staff, and maintain strong client relationships. You will guide daily operations, monitor lots, dispatch and answer parking issues while shaping long-range plans and staffing needs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in parking, a business or management background, and proven supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years parking experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or related field preferred but not required. Equivalent experience considered.
• Five years of related experience including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and oversight to staff engaged in daily parking operations.
• Plan, develop, and administer parking facilities programs and priorities.
• Recommend and implement policies; plan long-range service improvements.
• Assign, monitor, and guide staff; provide technical leadership.
• Submit budget recommendations and monitor expenditures; report variances.
• Promote safety and maintain audit controls.
• Project manage equipment installations and facility improvements.

WHO WE NEED

This position will be responsible for the leadership and operational oversight of multiple parking accounts. This position will be responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and supervising full time and part time employees.

• Provides supervision and oversight to the team members whose responsibilities include assisting with the daily operations of the parking system, monitoring lots, dispatching and, assigning team members, assisting customers, responding to parking issues, and assisting with hiring, training and evaluating staff.
• Plans, develops, and administers on-street and off-street parking facilities and programs, strategies, goals, objectives, and priorities; participates in long range planning of activities and programs related to public parking facilities and on-street parking areas.
• Recommends and implements policies and procedures. Conducts long range-planning activities and makes recommendations for service improvements to leadership, establishes required service levels and anticipates labor requirements.
• Selects, assigns, monitors, evaluates, and provides professional and technical guidance to staff engaged in the management of operations.
• Submits budget recommendations; monitors expenditures; effectively communicates budget variances to leadership.
• Promotes safety to ensure that the unit follows policies and procedures. Maintains audit controls within the unit.
• Project manage equipment installations, equipment RFPs, facility improvements and operational enhancements for facilities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE SKILLS

• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years parking experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or related field preferred but not required. Equivalent experience considered.
• Five years of related experience including supervisory experience.

PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE

• Parking industry experience.
• Business Development.
