Job summary

SkyChefs seeks a General Manager in Phoenix to drive strategy and daily operations of a high‑volume aviation culinary and related services operation. You will lead a fast‑paced team, guide performance, and ensure exceptional service while achieving financial targets.

You will shape the annual plan, manage capital projects, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a complex production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational experience.
• 10+ years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing, processing, or regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong financial acumen and budget ownership experience.
• Ability to lead through complexity, change, and high operational pressure.
• Demonstrated success building strong teams, managing labor relations, and engaging union workforces.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making, and leadership presence.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall operational, financial, and performance results of the CSC.
• Develop and execute the annual business plan and budget in alignment with regional strategy.
• Lead short‑ and mid‑term production planning to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery of food products and services.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, cost, and service.
• Ensure optimal deployment of people, equipment, materials, and capital resources.
• Maintain full compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and HACCP regulations.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and engagement.
• Lead, develop, and motivate a diverse workforce, including unionized teams where applicable.
• Partner closely with Sales, Culinary, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and external stakeholders.
• Initiate and manage capital projects to support growth and operational excellence.
• Ensure all customer contracts, company standards, and delivery commitments are consistently met.

How You'll Make a Difference
