Job summary

Castell Rooftop Lounge, part of Boqueria Restaurant Group, is seeking a General Manager to lead on the floor and elevate the guest experience in Midtown Manhattan.

You will hire and coach a high-performing team, own beverage management and inventory, and drive cost controls to protect the P&L. Collaborate with the events team to deliver seamless large-group experiences.

Qualifications

• Management experience at a craft cocktail bar or high-end venue with beverage management.
• Proficiency with OpenTable, Toast, Restaurant365 and Dolce; plus MS Office with strong Excel skills.
• Strong organizing and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.
• Energetic, positive, able to maintain humor during busy service.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain food safety certifications.

• Lead the experience: set the floor tone each night and ensure Castell shines.
• Build culture: hire, coach and develop a team aligned with core values.
• Run the bar program: manage beverage inventory, usage, and costs.
• Own the business: hit or beat financial targets and affect P&L decisions.
• Stay prepared: readiness for every service and for DOH inspections.
• Deliver standout events: coordinate with the Event Sales Manager for large groups.

Our current wage range is $90,000 - $110,000 per year.

Castell sits on top of the AC Hotel New York Times Square. It's a classic cocktail lounge rebuilt for now: martinis done right, cocktails that are part throwback and part invention, a fireplace lounge, a granite bar and an open-air terrace that looks out over Midtown. We're polished but never stuffy, and we're looking for a General Manager to lead the room and the team.

• You're at your best on the floor, and you know how to turn a first-time guest into a regular.
• You love the cocktail world, from the perfect martini to keeping your pour cost tight.
• You sweat the details, take ownership and own your numbers.
• You keep your sense of humor on a full Saturday night.

What You'll Do

• Lead the experience: set the tone on the floor every night and make sure each guest gets Castell at its best.
• Build the culture: hire, coach and develop a team that lives our core values, and model those values yourself.
• Run the bar program: manage beverage inventory, track usage and control costs so stock levels and waste stay where they should be.
• Own the business: hit or beat financial targets, and understand how each operational decision affects the P&L.
• Keep us ready: make sure we're prepared for every service and ready for a DOH inspection on any given day.
• Deliver standout events: work with our dedicated Event Sales Manager, who books large-group, private and corporate events. You make sure every event is staffed, ready and run to the same standard as a night on the floor.

What You Bring

• Management experience at a craft cocktail bar or high-end venue, with real beverage management experience.
• Comfort with our systems: OpenTable, Toast, Restaurant365 and Dolce, plus Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
• Strong organizing and planning skills, and you can set priorities.
• Energy, positivity and a good sense of humor.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Required food safety certifications will be obtained and confirmed upon hire.
