Job summary

Constellation Culinary Group in New York, NY is seeking a Food Service Director to lead a professional dining operation and manage a dedicated team. The role oversees a unit supported by a Commissary, with Monday–Friday work schedule.

You will drive culinary quality, safety, and sanitation standards, while managing budgeting, purchasing, and cross-department coordination to ensure targets are met.

Qualifications

• Six years of leadership experience in food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client service.
• Experience with and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite applications.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a motivated, effective food service director to our Constellation Culinary Group team in NMew York, NY. As a food service director, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a professional dining food service operation. This unit is supported by a Commissary. This is a Monday-Friday opportunity.

What you\'ll be doing:

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Manage and lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.

What we\'re looking for:

Must-haves:

• At least sixyears of experience managing food service operations on a leadership level.
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
• The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.
