We're seeking a strong and strategic General Manager to lead our New Orleans team. Our General Manager will champion operations, guest satisfaction, and team development, working closely with the kitchen and leadership team to ensure the smooth execution of every shift.
The Opportunity This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. You’ll oversee the restaurant’s day-to-day operations while mentoring a dynamic team and delivering measurable results in service, sales, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily FOH and BOH operations, ensuring smooth execution and top-tier service standards
Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and guest safety
Ensure compliance with health, labor, and safety regulations
Monitor facility maintenance and equipment functionality
Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team
Lead management and hourly staff through example, coaching, and consistent feedback
Manage scheduling, labor budgets, and coverage planning
Resolve performance issues fairly and proactively
Conduct regular team meetings and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration
Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by addressing feedback promptly and professionally
Maintain a visible presence on the floor, especially during peak periods
Support and coach staff on hospitality best practices
Create a welcoming environment that drives repeat business
Manage labor and food costs to ensure profitability
Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and act on findings
Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
Ensure timely completion of all checklists, logs, and operational documentation
Collaborate on local marketing initiatives and special events
Participate in community outreach to strengthen the restaurant’s brand presence
Manage social media standards and respond to online reviews professionally
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
Monitor vendor performance, deliveries, and product consistency
Avoid shortages, overstocking, and unnecessary waste through proactive planning
What We’re Looking For
3+ years experience as a General Manager in a high-volume full-service or upscale casual restaurant
Proven ability to lead and develop a team with professionalism and accountability
Strong operational knowledge including financials, labor controls, and inventory systems
Guest-first mindset with clear, calm judgment and the ability to make confident decisions
Effective communication skills and experience navigating challenging staff and guest situations
Experience with restaurant software such as POS systems, scheduling tools (e.g., 7Shifts), and inventory platforms
