We are excited to bring Chicken Salad Chick to Pennsylvania and are looking for an experienced General Manager to help us build and lead a team of excellence.
Employment will begin in November or December 2026, pending construction completion. We’re hiring early to build a long‑term team, and selected candidates will receive ample notice of their confirmed start date.
This is where you come in. The General Manager will be the key leader responsible for the daily operation and overall success of the restaurant. You will be hands‑on, working alongside the team, speaking with guests, coaching employees, managing restaurant performance, and making sure every shift runs smoothly.

- Ensures every guest receives friendly, accurate, and welcoming service.
- Maintains Chicken Salad Chick standards for food quality, safety, speed, cleanliness, and hospitality.
- Recruits, trains, coaches, develops, and retains strong team members and leaders.
- Manages daily front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations.
- Oversees dine‑in, takeout, online ordering, delivery, and catering.
- Manages scheduling, labor, food cost, inventory, waste, ordering, and other controllable expenses.
- Ensures opening, closing, cash‑handling, cleaning, and production procedures are completed correctly.
- Reviews restaurant performance and creates action plans when goals are not being met.
- Maintains the restaurant, equipment, guest areas, and patio in excellent condition.
- Supports local marketing, catering growth, community events, and restaurant promotions.
- Communicates regularly with ownership regarding performance, staffing, opportunities, and concerns.
- Most importantly, has fun while providing the best possible experience for guests and team members.
Skills Needed to Win:
- At least 1 year of experience in a managerial or leadership role in the restaurant industry.
- Experience leading a fast‑casual, quick‑service, or high‑volume restaurant is preferred.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, coach, and develop team members.
- Strong guest‑service skills and a genuine enjoyment of serving others.
- Understanding of labor management, food cost, inventory, scheduling, and restaurant financial performance.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive culture.
- Comfortable using point‑of‑sale systems, scheduling software, inventory systems, email, and financial reports.
- ServSafe Manager certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work approximately 45 to 50 hours per week, including opening shifts, closing shifts, Saturdays, Sundays, and peak business periods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical responsibilities required in a restaurant environment.
