Current Electrical is seeking a General Manager to lead our residential electrical and generator services in Huntsville, AL. You will own the entire operation, including sales, service, installation, people, customer experience, and financial performance.

This role requires 5+ years in residential home services leadership, strong P&L management, and the ability to drive revenue growth while developing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a residential home services business (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generators)

Current Electrical is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and grow our residential electrical and generator business in Huntsville, Alabama.We're looking for a true home services operator - someone who understands what it takes to run a successful residential service business, can develop strong leaders, knows their numbers, and isn't afraid to get into the details when the business needs it.

This isn't a role where you'll simply oversee one department. You'll have responsibility for the entire operationincluding sales, service, installation, people, customer experience, and financial performance.

You'll own the results.

What You'll Own

As General Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the business, including:

• P&L Performance: Own revenue, profitability, labor, materials, operating expenses, budgets, forecasts, and overall financial results.
• Growth: Identify opportunities to grow the business, increase revenue, improve margins, and expand our presence in the Huntsville and Birmingham markets.
• Sales: Drive strong sales execution, monitor close rates and average tickets, and ensure the team is maximizing every opportunity.
• Operations: Keep service and installation running efficiently, remove bottlenecks, improve capacity, and make sure work moves from sale to completion.
• People: Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing team across sales, service, installation, and office operations.
• Leadership: Set clear expectations, establish accountability, and develop department leaders who can effectively lead their teams.
• Customer Experience: Ensure customers receive a consistent, professional experience from their first call through installation and ongoing service.
• Performance Management: Know the numbers, understand what's driving them, and take action when results aren't where they need to be.
• Safety & Quality: Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, permitting, compliance, and overall quality.

You'll have support from regional and corporate leadership across recruiting, HR, finance, marketing, and other functions while maintaining ownership of the day-to-day business and its results.

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of leadership or management experience within residential home services
• Experience within electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generators, or a similar service-based trade
• Experience leading a branch, location, market, or significant business operation
• Strong understanding of P&L management and financial performance
• Experience leading sales, service, and/or installation teams
• A track record of driving revenue growth and improving operational performance
• Strong understanding of home services KPIs, including close rates, average ticket, productivity, labor, materials, and capacity
• The ability to build strong teams and hold people accountable while maintaining a positive culture
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to get involved when something isn't working
• Strong business judgment and the ability to make decisions using data
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar home services software preferred
• Generator/standby power experience strongly preferred

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who thinks like a business owner. You should be equally comfortable reviewing a P&L, coaching a manager, digging into a missed sales target, walking through an operational issue with the field team, or figuring out what needs to change to hit the next level of growth.
