Position: General Manager

Type:Full-Time | hourly+Monthly Incentives

Reports To: Owner

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, develop our team, and drive continued excellence across all shifts. The GM will ensure smooth execution from prep to plate and deliver an amazing guest experience while maintaining high standards for quality, cleanliness, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, train, and inspire hourly and shift-lead staff to ensure peak performance and strong team culture

• Oversee scheduling to align labor costs with sales volume while honoring employee preferences (e.g., role-specific assignments)

• Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and recognition

Operations & Service

• Manage daily operations with attention to speed, accuracy, and hospitality

• Ensure all service positions (POS, Fry Cook, Line, Prep, Expo) are properly staffed and functioning efficiently

• Maintain inventory levels and manage ordering with vendors to avoid shortages or waste

• Monitor food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with health regulations

Guest Experience

• Foster a clean, welcoming, and lively dine-in atmosphere

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback (online and in-store)

• Develop strategies to drive traffic particularly from ECU students and community events

• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports to monitor sales, labor, and food costs

• Execute cost control measures and track P&L performance

• Drive revenue through upselling, community engagement, and local marketing initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ years of restaurant GM or AGM experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

• Strong leadership skills and a team-first attitude

• Familiarity with shift scheduling, food cost control, and labor management

• Passion for customer service and operational excellence

• Ability to thrive under pressure, multitask, and solve problems on the fly

• A strong connection to Greenville or ECU is a plus!
