Job summary

ZSG, a privately held steel service center with more than 70 years in business, is seeking a General Manager to lead its Detroit operation. This is an opportunity to shape the GM role, lead an experienced team, and make a lasting impact with meaningful autonomy and direct access to executive leadership.

You’ll own production, inside sales, purchasing/materials, inventory, and shipping, strengthening planning and on-time delivery while developing employees and aligning departments with customer

• Hands-on leader with strong steel service-center experience.
• Solid operations/production background.
• Understanding of how the entire business connects to customer needs.

Responsibilities

You’ll need to earn respect, lead strong personalities, and support an established workforce. Automotive exposure and purchasing/materials experience are a plus.
