Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is actively hiring for an experienced General Manager who wants to join our mission – To Ensure EVERY Guest and Teammate Has An AWESOME Experience And Is EXCITED To Come Back. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is an industry leader in the Dine-In Theater space. We are a place for movies, special presentations & programs, creative and delicious food (made from our scratch kitchen), and a HUGE variety of beverages, all under one roof! An Alamo Drafthouse General Manager is a champion of their people who leads by representation and promotes and strengthens the company values, goals, and mission statement. Equally important, the General Manager ensures that our standards of quality and service are consistently followed through and upheld at the highest level. In addition, the General Manager will be expected to develop their teammates to achieve efficient and profitable execution of operations while creating an AWESOME WORK EXPERIENCE for their teams. Core role responsibilities include growing revenue and controlling costs by understanding and managing P&L, ensuring proper cash handling, optimizing guest experience by maintaining high satisfaction and venue standards, and leading the team by motivating management staff, cultivating a strategic team environment, and developing succession plans. Qualifications include at least 5 years of management experience in full service restaurant or eatertainment industry, financial and P&L management experience, knowledge of legal and HR issues in hospitality, basic computer skills, and strong communication skills. Physical requirements include ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, walk stairs frequently, operate POS devices, and work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, fire, and noise.
