Job summary

General Manager in Coweta, OK with SFE leads district-wide food service operations in school cafeterias, ensuring quality, safety, and service standards while driving financial performance.

You will develop teams, manage budgets, and build client relationships, reporting to the District Manager. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in K-12 food service are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of food service and fresh food production experience.
• 2-3 years as a Food Service Director, preferably within the K-12 market.
• Experience managing food cost controls, P&L accountability, production, sanitation, catering, and K-12 operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, POS systems, and online reporting platforms.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to pass an MVR audit, nationwide background check, and fingerprint analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the Food Service Department, including direct client interaction and overall account performance.
• Manage, hire, train, and develop managers and staff; set expectations, evaluate performance, and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with district leadership, including administrative staff and Board of Trustees.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring targets are met for labor, food costs, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure standards in food quality, safety, sanitation, customer service, and operational efficiency, while driving program growth and participation.

Summary of Position:

Make a meaningful impact on student experiences every day. This role leads and supports food service operations across the district, bringing our commitment to quality, service, and partnership to life in every cafeteria. You’ll inspire and develop teams, elevate food quality and service standards, and build strong client relationships—all while ensuring operational excellence and financial performance. Reporting to the District Manager, you’ll help create safe, welcoming dining environments that students and school communities love. This position will report to the District Manager.

• Experience managing food cost controls, P&L accountability, production, sanitation, catering, and K-12 food service operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, POS systems, and online reporting platforms.
