Job summary

Better Buzz Coffee is seeking a General Manager to lead each café and provide an outstanding guest experience across California locations. You will hire, train, and inspire teams to deliver excellent service and a memorable drink experience.

The role requires 3 years of GM experience in fast-paced coffee or fast-casual settings, strong leadership, open availability for 45-hour weeks, and a track record of driving sales while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years of prior general management experience in a high-velocity, high-volume coffee or fast-casual environment.
• 3 years of Food & Beverage experience required.
• Open availability and ability to work a 45-hour work week.
• New-location opening experience a plus.
• Will complete 8-week training before assignment.

Better Buzz Coffee, a rapidly expanding coffee brand, is looking for a General Manager to lead each café and provide an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy, and initiative
• Ensure the Buzz Life Experience is delivered to every team member and guest by combining great service with an amazing drink experience in a welcoming environment
• Hire, train, motivate, and inspire the team to create a BETTER EXPERIENCE with every transaction
• Lead overall hospitality inside the café
• Enforce brand standards and expectations
• Drive solid metrics and key performance indicators
• Champion a safe, harassment‑free, and discrimination‑free workplace
• Create and provide timely schedules for the team
• Execute daily labor and break compliance
• Operate a profitable location while keeping food and labor costs within standard limits
• Drive sales
• Maintain a Yelp & Google score of 4.2 or higher
• Lead all food safety standards and execute accurate inventories
• Tackle difficult conversations to resolve issues
• Fairly enforce accountability
• Become part of the neighborhood and community, learning guests’ names

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED graduate preferred
• 3 years of prior general management experience in a high‑velocity, high‑volume coffee or fast‑casual environment
• 3 years of Food & Beverage experience needed
• High‑volume drive‑through experience a plus
• New‑location opening experience a plus
• Open availability and ability to work a 45‑hour work week
• Will complete 8‑week training before being assigned an opening or back‑fill location

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $30.00‑$35.00 per hour (based on a 45‑hour week), translating to roughly $74,000‑$86,000 annually.
