Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at Big Onion Hospitality in Chicago, IL. The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurants, manage staff, handle customer relations, and ensure the overall success of the establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Oversee the smooth running of day-to-day restaurant functions.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure proper staffing levels.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize performance.
• Monitor the restaurant’s budget, including expenses and inventory.
• Track performance metrics (e.g., sales, customer satisfaction).
• Develop strategies to improve profitability.
• Recruit, hire, train, and onboard staff.
• Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations.
• Resolve conflicts and handle employee relations.

Customer Experience:

• Ensure quality service, food, and ambiance.
• Address customer complaints and concerns promptly.
• Continuously improve guest experiences.
• Work with the marketing team on promotions and events.
• Drive sales through upselling and guest engagement.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

• Oversee inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained.
