Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated General Manager to join our Chicago team! In this role, you will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of Milk Bar in the Hoxton Hotel, and are responsible for supporting, managing, and developing all bakery team members to exceed business goals.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in a similar hospitality or retail environment.
  • Strong operational knowledge of food service, including managing schedules, inventory, and product quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume location while ensuring brand consistency and a commitment to high standards.
  • Financial literacy, including experience with budgeting, sales forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Passion for the Milk Bar brand, culture, and mission of spreading joy through desserts and celebration.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
  • Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
