Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a hands-on Restaurant Manager in Calabasas, CA to lead daily operations with focus on service excellence and efficiency. You will supervise staff, manage inventory and scheduling, and ensure food safety and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of hospitality management, strong communication, and the ability to train and mentor team members across all stations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Advanced typing and familiarity with Excel and POS systems.

Principal Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions

• Motivate and direct team members to exceed customer expectations with fast and friendly service in clean surroundings.
• Oversee inventory management, labor allocation, and utilize financial analysis to optimize restaurant performance.
• Handle daily ordering and invoicing at the store level.
• Provide training and mentorship for new employees and managers across all restaurant stations, leveraging team collaboration.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations.
• Uphold and reinforce all Pura Vida procedures and policies at the store level.
• Efficiently organize, schedule, and supervise team member shifts.
• Maintain a strong floor presence to oversee and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Direct staff while on the floor to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
• Monitor and manage the expo station to guarantee timely and accurate food delivery to customers.
• Lead by example in providing exemplary customer service and addressing customer concerns effectively.
• Support recruitment, selection, hiring, and talent retention initiatives at the store.
• Recruit and develop talented employees, with an eye toward building organizational capacity and bench strength.
• Create an environment that encourages innovation and development.

Requirements

• 2+ years of management experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
• College education is preferred, but not required.
• Hard-working, enthusiastic leader with strong communication, organizational & problem-solving skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced, demanding environment.
• Passionate about health and wellness is a bonus.
• Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
• Advanced typing/basic knowledge of Excel and POS systems.
