Job summary

SIXT is seeking a General Manager to own branch operations across downtown and airport locations. You will inspire your team, drive profitability, manage rental fleets, oversee sales and performance initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.

You will develop strategic initiatives, monitor KPIs, coach leaders, and supervise budgets, staffing, and contracts to maximize efficiency and growth. Travel up to 40% domestically is expected.

Job description

As a General Manager, you take full ownership of our branch operations across key downtown and/or airport locations. You inspire your team, make smart business decisions, and ensure every customer experience is exceptional. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the rental fleet, overseeing sales and performance initiatives, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and driving operational excellence and profitability. In return, you’ll enjoy a competitive base salary of $90,000 $100,000 per year, an annual target bonus of $55,000, a company car, and exciting opportunities to grow your career with one of the most dynamic brands in the mobility industry.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

You manage all operational aspects of designated branches, including downtown and/or airport locations

You develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with business requirements, enhance operational processes, and foster employee engagement

You spearhead revenue growth strategies, analyze costs effectively, and optimize incremental sales opportunities

You provide strategic oversight of business operations to ensure alignment of resources, training, and infrastructure to meet set targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)

You offer guidance, mentorship, coaching, and leadership to nurture employee growth and development plans

You manage budgets, employee reviews, training, schedules, and contract negotiations for optimal efficiency

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

Experience & Education You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred with 5+ years of relevant work experience in sales, business development or customer service. Experience in the car rental industry is required

Organization & Customer Service You demonstrate a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and operational KPIs and successful leadership experience in sales operations driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction

Communication Skills You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Hours & Travel You are able to travel domestically up to 40% of the time to designated locations
