Job summary

Regal Cinemas is seeking a General Manager to lead Albany theatre operations and drive guest experience. You will manage sales, expenses, and safety, while building a strong team through hiring, training, and coaching.

The role requires aligning daily operations with company policies and delivering memorable experiences for moviegoers. Applicants should bring 2+ years in management or a related degree, strong organizational skills, and comfort with theatre systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience, or a post-secondary degree in Business or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team while driving results.
• Strong understanding of day-to-day operations and basic financial management.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with theatre systems and technology is a plus.
• Must meet legal requirements for alcohol service where applicable
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your theatre's performance, keeping an eye on sales, expenses, and making sure operations run in a way that supports the business
• Make sure everything runs the right way by following company policies, handling cash properly, and staying on top of safety and compliance standards
• Keep daily operations on track, from scheduling and reporting to making sure everything runs smoothly each day
• Build and lead a strong team by hiring, training, coaching, and supporting employees while managing performance and employee relations
• Create a great guest experience by setting the tone for service, stepping in to resolve concerns, and making sure the theatre always looks and feels its best
• Oversee the theatre environment making sure it’s clean, well maintained, fully stocked, and operating efficiently behind the scenes
• Monitor financial and operational results, identifying opportunities to improve performance and drive profitability
• Ensure proper inventory management, ordering, and cost control across concessions and supplies
• Maintain and oversee theatre systems and equipment, including projection and audio-visual functionality
• Lead by example on the floor, supporting your team during peak times and ensuring a smooth, efficient operation
