Job description

Required Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret/SCI (with Polygraph)

Shift: 3:30pm - 12:30am (60-minute lunch); Monday - Friday

Set Hourly Pay Rate: $24.01/hour

Essential Functions:

  1. Meet general and special requests from building occupants as directed by the COTR or authorized designee through the Project Manager
  2. Promptly respond to all calls or messages from supervisor or designated representative
  3. Inspect and diagnose problems and determine appropriate corrective actions
  4. Keep detailed records of daily work performed
  5. Use and maintain equipment properly following all safety requirements
  6. Provide special trash pick-ups
  7. Perform emergency cleaning
  8. Perform or assist with special restoration work
  9. Refill hand sanitizer stations and replace dispenser batteries
  10. Clean and disinfect restrooms and washable surfaces
  11. Descale showers, toilet bowls, and urinals
  12. Provide restrooms with required paper products and soap
  13. Perform routine glass and mirror cleaning
  14. Scrub tile & wash walls
  15. Vacuum carpets and sweep and wet mop floors
  16. Pull trash and recycling and place in proper receptacles
  17. Dust various surfaces and polish furniture and metal, clean glass tabletops
  18. Clean horizontal and vertical surfaces
  19. Clean and disinfect kitchenettes and break rooms
  20. Clean and disinfect fitness centers, health centers, and child care centers
  21. Clean walls, window blinds, and window sills
  22. Clean corners, crevices, moldings, ledges, door jams, metal strips and overhead surfaces
  23. Spot clean, service restrooms, and police trash as required
  24. Clean elevators, escalators, and stairwells
  25. Clean building exteriors, garages, and janitor closets
  26. Empty and clean any public ashtrays and urns
  27. Move, arrange, and lift heavy items
  28. Understand English and communicate in English as needed
  29. Comply with uniform dress code and personal hygiene standards
  30. Pass and comply with all building and security requirements and procedures
  31. Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications

Secondary Functions:

  1. Perform or assist with inventory
  2. Clean and maintain equipment
  3. Clean gym equipment and refill sanitizer wipes
  4. Escort personnel as required and needed
  5. Scrub, strip, refinish, wax, burnish, and buff floors per contract
  6. Clean carpet using wet extraction and/or dry-cleaning methods
  7. Pressure wash exterior sidewalks, plazas using cold and/or hot water pressure washer
  8. Clean high surfaces using high lift and/or Space Vac
  9. Maintain floors including porches and steps at entrances
  10. Transport supplies and equipment as needed
  11. Perform other duties and tasks as needed

Physical Abilities Needed to Meet Work Demands:

  1. Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
  2. Ability to go up and down stairs
  3. Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop
  4. Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. as needed
  5. Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
  6. Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces

  13. Ability to attend and participate in training and work-related meetings
  14. Ability to deal with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner
  15. Ability to comply with all building, security, and company policies and procedures

Essential Personnel:

This position is designated as essential. This means that when the facility is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in this position may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the facility.

Education:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  2. Knowledge of proper use of electrical equipment related to this contract
  3. Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements associated with tasks performed

Experience:

  1. Six months of custodial experience preferred
  2. Custodial training desired
  3. Candidates with disabilities preferred

Other Requirements:

  1. Successful completion and approval of Top Secret/SCI with Poly is required.
  2. US Citizenship required
