About the Role

This position serves as a concrete worker/lead for a majority of the workday. The position requires practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in various construction trades. Work will include various laborious duties while utilizing many different hand tools, repairing, or replacing concrete, asphalt, dirt work, and operating equipment such as excavators, skid loaders, Vactor Trucks, Dump Trucks with sander and plow, and Street Sweepers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Primary duties included but not limited to doing concrete finish work, designing & building forms, setting up forms, pouring concrete, using wire mesh to reinforce the concrete, spreading & smoothing concrete, molding expansion joints & edges, using stains or colors to add the finishing touch, applying waterproofing & sealant to protect the concrete work, and monitoring the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish.
• General Maintenance Workers - Concrete also provide support on grounds related services such as truck driver, asphalt work, and aiding equipment operators.
• During winter months assist in snow removal via operation of various equipment.
• This position requires 12-hour shifts during weather events to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
• This job has a requirement to be on-call on a rotating basis in support of operations and for snow removal.
• This position will require overtime and being on call.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Consistently produces quality products and service.
• Completes all training within required timeline.
• Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years related experience.
• Must have CDL class A driver license.
• The position requires practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in various construction trades. • Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
• Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
• Must possess the ability to work in a high-volume office area and interface in a positive manner with co-workers and the customer.
• Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
• Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.
• Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.
• Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
• Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
• Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
• Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
• Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors environments. Some work is performed with exposure to low to loud noise level; frequent fieldwork is required with exposure to a variety of weather conditions and the external environment; tasks may require working in tightly enclosed spaces and the use of ladders or other safety equipment to gain access to hard-to-reach locations; The employee occasionally works in precarious places and is occasionally exposed to dust and debris.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• On a continuous basis, sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and twist for varying periods in the course of work; use hands and fingers to grasp tools; make repetitive hand and body motions; twist and reach below and above shoulder; lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to communicate with co-workers using a two-way radio; use telephone, see in the normal vision range with or without correction to read.
• Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
