Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for our university hospital facility. You will perform maintenance tasks across trades, promote safety, and support a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients and staff.

Hours are weekdays morning shifts. The role emphasizes reliable attendance, teamwork, and compliance with site-specific requirements. Sodexo offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Hold appropriate license/certification for the work in the city/state.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and safety-minded environment advocate.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas (plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, etc.).
• Replace/maintain fixtures, lighting, paper dispenser units, filters, locks, and minor decor tasks.
• Attend shifts on time and comply with client requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the account or business needs.

$19.00 per hour - $27.38 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a General Maintenance Worker at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. Your knowledge and technical skills are critical to meet maintenance needs. By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.
• Performs tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• 2 or more years of related experience
• Hold appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done.
