The purpose of this position is to enhance the environment for internal and external customers by providing general cleaning, maintenance, painting, perform minor construction and grounds work for the grounds and buildings.
This position will report to the Facilities Services Supervisor.
Salary Range:
$20.21 to $25.05 per hour / $42,198 to $52,304 annually / plus $2.25 per hour shift differential (when applicable)
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of different types of flooring/floor covering sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents and equipment.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safely.
Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairs.
Physical health and endurance sufficient to perform work functions such as use of hand tools and handle fairly light materials manually, to perform work functions using ladders and scaffolding, and to function in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform assigned tasks with limited work direction.
Ability to keep simple records.
Preferred Qualification:
High School Diploma.
Current State of MN Class D Driver’s License.
Computer skills sufficient to use email and project tracking system.
Expertise with floor care (hard surfaces and carpets).
Basic knowledge of professional cleaning equipment.
Ability to make minor mechanical repairs to and operate simple maintenance equipment.
Other Requirements:
Ability to move and/or transport items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Ability to push and pull, bend, lift, and maneuver items daily.
Ability to work in buildings after ventilation systems have been shut off.
Ability to operate motor equipment safely and precisely.
Work Shift (Hours / Days of work):
Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
