As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our client's facilities. You'll be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and facility support services that keep the building and grounds safe, functional, and well-maintained. This hands‑on position involves managing equipment maintenance, monitoring building systems, and responding to facility needs throughout the day. Your work directly contributes to creating a reliable, efficient environment that supports our client's operations and JLL's commitment to exceptional facility management.
Perform basic facility and equipment maintenance including construction, plumbing, painting, vehicle upkeep, floor/wall coating/painting, and cage repairs
Conduct scheduled inspections and repairs on assigned facility systems, and perform read‑only monitoring functions for the Building Automation System (BAS)
Operate and maintain the facilities incinerator, manage waste removal, and replenish supplies in assigned areas (copy machines, feed and litter, water softener salt)
Handle lawn care and maintenance, outdoor cleaning of buildings and grounds, and outbuilding cleaning and arrangement
Secure facilities through opening and closing procedures on a rotating basis, and respond to after-hour security calls
Participate in snow removal and ice remediation activities including shoveling and spreading deicing agents on walkways and parking lots where weather conditions necessitate
Transport materials and supplies for facility support (food, litter, cleaning chemicals), assist in moving equipment and office furniture within the facility or between sites, and maintain appropriate maintenance logs and required documentation
High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent
1-3 years of preventative facility maintenance experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate assigned maintenance power tools and equipment (hand saws, drills, portable saws, drill press)
Physical capability to lift bags weighing up to 40 pounds, frequently climb ladders, kneel, lie on concrete flooring, and walk or stand for up to 90% of the workday
Additional training or education in construction, electrical, HVAC, or plumbing
Experience with Building Automation System (BAS) monitoring
Experience operating incinerators or waste management systems
Familiarity with laboratory or specialized facility environments
Experience with snow removal equipment and deicing procedures
Knowledge of safety protocols for working in high places, confined spaces, and around moving mechanical parts
Work Shift: day shift, M-F
On call 24/7 for 1 week, once a month or every five weeks
