American Red Cross in Mobile, AL seeks a Temporary General Maintenance Tech to perform repairs and routine maintenance across facilities and equipment. Under general supervision, the General Maintenance Tech II will perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. The role involves work in one or more maintenance trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, and electrical. Tasks include conducting routine, periodic, or special inspections to prevent breakdowns, using hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to volunteers. All duties performed in compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable regulations.

Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs; may lift more than 100 lbs with assistance or equipment. Move carts up to 250 pounds on flat surfaces or ramps. Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; climb or balance; use various hand and power tools; work with chemicals and solvents. Position may require climbing ladders.
