CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: General Maintenance Technician

Our maintenance and construction firm is recruiting a General Maintenance Technician willing to travel for full-time commercial construction projects across the United States.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Tradespersons must be proficient in the following skills:
  • Carpentry: partition framing with metal/wood studs, installation of cabinetry and countertops, doors, and windows.
  • Painting: interior and exterior.
  • Flooring: installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base.
  • Basic knowledge of:
  • Plumbing: replacement/installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines. Licensed plumbers encouraged to apply.
  • Electrical: replacement and installation of light fixtures, switches, outlets, basic data connections, and diagnosing minor electrical issues. Licensed electricians encouraged to apply.
  • HVAC: knowledge of refrigeration and PM service calls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performing commercial renovations and buildouts.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Following OSHA requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with customers to build relationships.
  • Documenting repairs with measurements, photos, recommendations, and quotes.
  • Working overtime and on-call as needed.
  • Traveling and working overnight shifts across the U.S. when required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
  • Providing basic construction hand tools.
  • Completing OSHA 10-hour training within 3 months of employment (company paid).
