Job summary

JLL is hiring an on-site facilities technician in Atlanta, GA. You will support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical and plumbing systems, assist with repairs, and help keep the building safe and functional.

The role includes preventive maintenance, inspections, moving furniture, setting up conference rooms, and light electrical work. Require commercial building maintenance experience and basic computer skills to use Corrigo CMMS; lifting up to 80 lbs and climbing ladders may be

• General Building Maintenance in commercial setting.
• Light Plumbing.
• Basic computer skills including typing and software use.
• Experience using volt meters and troubleshooting problems.

Responsibilities

• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility systems and components.
• Conduct inspections and due diligence to report conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
• Interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, replacing ceiling tiles, repairing doors.
• Move office furniture and equipment; set up conference spaces for events.
• Assist electricians and other team members with light electrical tasks when needed.

Shift - Monday to Friday, 10am to 6:30pm

What this job involves - Supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, plumbing equipment, general repair & labor, and involvement with various systems in the assigned facilities. Assists other JLL Facilities team members on-site in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, plumbing, doors, etc.

What is your day to day?

• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• General interior maintenance – light plumbing, hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems, replace ceiling tiles, and repair doors.
• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed
• Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
• Set up conference rooms and/or the conference center for events - as requested.
• Assist the Electrician on the team occasionally with light electrical & lighting work
• Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled
• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Update work order status in real time
• Utilize CMMS (work order) systems such as Corrigo for all work performed. Basic computer skills are preferred. This includes understanding certain software, how to type and answer emails, applications, programs and tools.
• Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner
• Attend work and safety meetings as required

Desired experience and technical skills -

Required

• Experience with General Building Maintenance in commercial setting
• Light Plumbing
• Basic computer skills, including understanding certain software, how to type and answer emails, applications, programs and tools.
• Experience using volt meter and ability to troubleshoot problems

Work Environment

• Warehouse
• Be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Be able to climb a 30 foot ladder - should that ever become necessary.
