Job summary

SmartStop® Self Storage in Concord, NH is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform light maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.

Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with opportunities for growth and additional benefits. You will maintain grounds, assist with repairs, and ensure clean, safe storage spaces for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves as necessary.
• Cleans storage units and prepares spaces for rental.
• Snow removal and winter maintenance.
• Inspects equipment and performs basic repairs.
• Orders supplies and assists with facility upkeep.
• May run errands related to maintenance.

General Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The General Maintenance Technician performs light general maintenance and maintains the facility’s grounds.

Starting at $18.00/hour

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves as necessary or assigned.
• Picks up and removes trash.
• Cleans out storage units, making ready for rental.
• Completes snow removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months.
• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• May run errands as related to maintenance needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
