CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: General Maintenance Technician

Our maintenance and construction firm is recruiting a General Maintenance Technician willing to travel across the United States for full-time commercial construction projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The tradesperson must be proficient in the following skills:

• Carpentry: partition framing (metal/wood studs), installation of cabinetry/countertops, doors, and windows.
• Painting: interior & exterior.
• Flooring: installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base.

Basic knowledge of the following skills is also required:

• Plumbing: replacement/installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged to apply).
• Electrical: replacement and installation of light fixtures, switches, outlets, basic data connections, and diagnosing minor electrical issues (licensed electricians encouraged to apply).
• HVAC: knowledge of refrigeration and PM service calls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performing commercial renovations and buildouts.
• Maintaining basic computer skills.
• Following OSHA requirements.
• Communicating effectively with customers and building relationships.
• Documenting repairs with measurements, photos, recommendations, and quotes.
• Working overtime or on-call as needed.
• Traveling and working overnight shifts across the U.S. when required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years in construction or commercial maintenance.
• Provision of basic construction hand tools.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour training within 3 months of employment (employer-paid).
