WinnCompanies is seeking a dependable and adaptable General Maintenance Technician to join our military housing team at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The main responsibility involves performing maintenance tasks across the community, including rental units, office buildings, residential areas, grounds, and parking lots. This includes general maintenance and repairs of building structures, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sanitary systems, and equipment. The role requires ensuring all services are performed safely and lead to positive customer feedback, as documented by customer surveys.

This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required for access.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls for residential maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances, to fulfill service, work order, and property management requirements.
• Complete repairs as directed by supervisors or management.
• Transport, install, and connect appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers.
• Transport equipment, furnishings, and appliances to work sites.
• Repair and fabricate window screens, door screens, and door frames.
• Remove damaged flooring materials and drywall.
• Respond to emergency and urgent repairs during on-call hours.
• Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork promptly.
• Update work order statuses with details on time, materials, and notes using mobile devices.
• Keep supervisors informed of activities, results, and potential issues, and suggest corrective actions.
• Maintain professionalism and cooperate with customers, staff, contractors, monitors, and the public.
• Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
• Maintain vehicle and inventory as prescribed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing, meeting company safety standards.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, flooring, or appliances.
• Ability to provide necessary tools and equipment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with web applications.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to read and write in English for understanding instructions and following directions.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
