Job summary

Holiday Inn Club Vacations on Marco Island seeks a General Maintenance Technician I to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, interior finishes, and appliance servicing for guest units. You will work in a team, assist with preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate service records.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 6 months of maintenance experience; a valid driver’s license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent in work experience or vocational training.
• Six months of building maintenance experience or construction preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license, and minimum of 1 year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Works in a team environment in a primarily response role to complete inspections, repairs, and preparation of guest units. Assist guests and staff in the resolution of unit maintenance concerns, complaints, and questions.
• Assist preventative maintenance team in the preparation of the property for guests.
• Perform general maintenance duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of units serviced and work performed.

The General Maintenance Technician I perform basic services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, interior finishes, and appliance servicing. Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with industry and company standards. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the maintenance field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be able to identify basic maintenance defects for repair. This position will also perform as part of a team and will carry out tasks as assigned by leader.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must have a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, and minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
• Must meet company required motor vehicle policy standards.
• Must have the ability to learn how to perform skilled work in general maintenance.
• Must have the ability to problem-solve and perform basic repairs.
• Must have knowledge of hand and power tools and a mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Must be able to follow written instruction and complete documentation associated with unit maintenance the use of company work order software.
