Overview

Facilities Engineering maintains 6 million square feet of facilities dedicated to clinical and academic functions. The department comprises 150 professionals, including engineers, MEP mechanics, building finishes, and support staff. Customer and staff satisfaction surveys consistently rate the department in the upper 90%, with staff expressing a high intent to continue employment at BJH.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Providing maintenance and engineering services, responding to service calls throughout the hospital complex. Performs accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems within capability, calling in qualified personnel when necessary. Performs other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.

  2. Responds to and assists in emergency and disaster situations.
  3. Checks buildings to ensure essential systems are operating properly.
  4. Performs preventative maintenance on schedule and according to department standards.

  • 2-5 years

  • No Experience required
