Department: Facility Maintenance

Compensation: This is a HOURLY/NON-EXEMPT position with a pay range of $23.83 - $28.50. This position is covered under the Teamster General Maintenance Technician Agreement. The starting pay will be at step 1, with progression to the maximum step according to the collective bargaining agreement.

Job Summary: To assist General Maintenance Technicians and perform maintenance and minor repairs at company facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist shop mechanic with cleaning parts, breaking down equipment, and minor repairs.
2. Assist maintenance technician with tasks requiring two people, such as pulling wire and installing machinery.
3. Maintain equipment.
4. Pick up and deliver materials and equipment.
5. Perform minor repairs, work, and inspections not requiring a technician.
6. Install and repair signage.
7. Perform light emergency roof, ceiling, and parking lot repairs.
8. Repair flooring.
9. Be available 24 hours for emergencies and shift work.
10. Maintain integrity.
11. Participate in ongoing safety, equipment training, and certifications.
12. Maintain good communication skills.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of construction trades, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and concrete.
• Valid California Driver License with a clear driving record.
• CPR Certification within 90 days.
• Certified in Ammonia Awareness within 90 days.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
