As a leading hotel in the luxury market, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is looking for a General Maintenance Engineer to join the Property Operations / Engineering Team at this beautiful property!

This Forbes 5-Star, AAA 5-Diamond hotel has 170 rooms, 6,300 square feet of banquet space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 Jean-Georges concepted restaurants, lobby lounge, and in-room dining.

  • Shift: mostly overnight – must have availability to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a general maintenance engineer in a hotel environment/commercial building
  • Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical (up to 208 volts), plumbing, & mechanical
  • Ability to communicate effectively, maximize resources, and adhere to strict health and safety regulations.
  • Flexible approach is imperative to the ever-changing demands of the department.
  • Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with your department and hotel colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel.

As a General Maintenance Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas
  • Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
  • Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry
  • Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs
  • Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention

Pay Range: The hourly rate is $40.96 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
