Andaz Miami Beach is recruiting a General Maintenance Engineering III to join the hotel’s opening team. The hotel is an architectural landmark in an art-deco building, opening in early 2025, featuring 287 guestrooms including 34 suites, with unique design elements and stunning ocean and city views. Amenities include a spa, fitness center, dining by José Andrés, pools, a Beach Club, and extensive event spaces.

Position Summary

A General Maintenance Engineering III is responsible for general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC, and related activities.
• Notify management of major repairs needed.
• Respond to guest service requests and keep records.
• Program TVs and manage inventory of tools and parts.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Maintain tools and monitor utility readings.
• Ensure stock levels and learn emergency procedures.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems maintenance.
• Practice safe work habits and use PPE.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and see repairs through.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform activities in various conditions.
