This includes responding to guest room calls in a timely manner and providing outstanding service for our guests. This role will also include mechanical repairs as needed in kitchens, mechanical spaces and interior/exterior building repairs. This role requires a candidate that communicates well and self-motivates in lower call volume periods.

Summary

General Maintenance Engineer at the Grand Hyatt Denver will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, public and back-of-house spaces. This includes responding to guest room calls in a timely manner and providing outstanding service for our guests. This role will also include mechanical repairs as needed in kitchens, mechanical spaces and interior/exterior building repairs. This role requires a candidate that communicates well and self-motivates in lower call volume periods.

Hours for this position will be (4) 10-hour days, that will include (2) Evening Shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm) and (2) Overnight Shifts (11:00pm-7:30am). This colleague will receive a shift differential of $2.00 extra/per hour when working the overnight shift. Must have open availability and be able to work weekends and holidays. The schedule is subject to change depending on business needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position:

• Technical Experience in a related field or trade (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration, Paint & Wallcovering)
• Excellent customer service experience
• Good communication skills (Guests, Clients & Hotel Staff)
• Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Two to three years of previous hotel experience preferred

The budgeted range for this position is between $ 24.00 - $28.00 per hour . Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.

This colleague will receive a shift differential of $2.00 extra/hour when working the overnight shift.
