Qualifications

• Cleans and maintains areas as assigned.
• Previous experience in construction and carpentry preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as well as knowledge and skills on tools used preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance duties of the property using hand tools, painting, drain cleaning, plumbing fixture repair and changing light bulbs.
• Provide preventive maintenance to guest rooms, public areas, pools and select equipment and update logs.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• May operate forklifts to assist with receiving and storing products and guest packages.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

The General Maintenance Position creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a Hotel experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment with a positive attitude and pleasant demeanor.The general maintenance performs routine maintenance duties of the property including but not limited to working with small handtools, painting, drain cleaning, plumbing fixture repair and changing light bulbs in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve the highest guest satisfaction while complying with required standards of performance. They will also be required to provide preventive maintenance to guest rooms, public areas, pools and select equipment of the property and update/maintain appropriate logs. A general maintenanceengineer will also perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment. General maintenanceengineers may also work with forklifts to assist with checking in, distributing and storing incoming products and guest packages.

The general maintenanceengineer position is paid an hourly rate of $25.75 per hour.
